Service notes

Based on a German version of an infantry sword, it was commonly worn by cavalry troops and higher ranked NCO's. Two models were produced, the most common being 37" in total length (31" blade length), and a shorter 27" blade length. This sword is still used today for ceremonial purposes by the Honor Guard and 3rd Infantry Regiment.
